A great motivational tool, the Fitness Assessment is used to evaluate your current state of health and fitness and provides the data necessary to set measurable, results-oriented goals. You will receive a copy of your assessment results and goals. The assessment includes:

Body Composition Analysis
Designed to measure and calculate your lean to non-lean body mass ratio. Body composition analysis uses skin fold calipers to calculate your percentage of body fat. This method of determining healthy body weight is a much better gauge of fitness than the traditional method of using old scale weight.
This is where you work one on one with the trainer. What happens during the sessions will depend on each individual. It could be instructing you as you perform the recommended exercise, goal setting for the following week, learning how to use a heart rate monitor, reviewing your food log, or action planning. Each session will be personal and results-oriented.

Meet the Trainers
Ann Marie Underwood
Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. Ann Marie has been teaching aerobics and fitness for over 20 years. She participates in marathons and cycling events with a strong passion for yoga. Ann Marie is available to coach individuals with running goals, triathlons, and many sport-specific activities. Ann Marie believes in keeping balance with fitness, nutrition, and rest for overall good health and well-being. Ann Marie is available afternoons Monday through Friday, with limited availability Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings.
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified Personal Trainer and (AFAA) certified Group Exercise Instructor. Jan has 20 years of experience teaching group exercise and working as a personal trainer. Her training approach is to build on the incremental successes of her clients. She understands the needs of those who want to lose weight, get healthier, and make permanent lifestyle changes. Jan particularly enjoys working with the active aging adults who want to stay functionally fit and healthy. She leads the "Chose to Lose" weight loss program at PAC and encourages her clients to work toward their "personal best." Jan is available early mornings to early afternoons Monday through Friday and some weekends.
Jessica Kenney has a BS in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah. She is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Jessica has been training since 1998 as well as teaching group exercise classes in step and floor aerobics, water aerobics, cycling, and senior fitness. She enjoys working in the fitness industry and loves to help others improve their levels of fitness. Jessica is available Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Aerobic and Fitness Association (AFAA) Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. She has a passion for helping people discover their inner athlete at any age. A belief that anyone can succeed led her to complete her first half marathon in 2011. Kathy teaches a variety of fitness classes and is the PAC Group Fitness Class Coordinator. Kathy is available Mondays and Thursdays midday and evening, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and midday, and occasional Saturdays.
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, Tim has a passion for fitness and understands the many benefits of regular physical activity and leading a healthy lifestyle. Working to help others has been at the forefront during his 15 year career in law enforcement in New Zealand and he brings this experience into the fitness industry. As a goal driven athlete, Tim believes the mind is a powerful tool in achieving results in fitness and health. Tim participates in triathlons and recently completed his 2nd Ironman, although his passion is running. Tim is available afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday, and also on weekends at the member's request.
